@aenariele: To me right clicking is synonymous with alternate options. The logic goes like this. When I left click, I am trying to perform some sort of action. Clicking with an alternate button however, should provide me with alternate options. The Macs, interestingly enough, still have their alternate commands dialog, but its buried under the command key.

Actually I really like the touch pad features on macs. They're really neat. I think the only thing that makes the lack of a right-click a nuisance on macs is because people tend to be so conditioned to using the right click mouse feature on windows laptops/mouses (mice) ^_^

You know what PCs can do that Macs can't? Right-click.

Okay I know the new ones have right-click buttons but shut up.

Nice post, Xangelo... very amusing, particularly since I'm a PC-girl too, and probably not much more advanced than Lauren. Honestly, if it weren't for you I'd never even be aware of these commercials, or paid attention to the little Mac/Windows spat at all.

Thanks to Imdolien, I'm being a good little blog-stalker and posting. Plus, I'm at work and I'm bored. I have nothing else to do with my life except write long ridiculous comments to your long ridiculous blog posting.

And Krislyn should either have stronger will power, or not complain about my ability to blitzkrieg it out of existence with strategic applications of squeeing and Dean/Castiel/other-descriptions.

Also yay, you responded to my fangirl post. And yes, the plot is screwing with my head and heart (way to go Kripke). And no I cannot wait for more episodes. And I just totally realized. You really are to blame for this entire thing. YOU got me hooked onto Supernatural to begin with...

But no. You get brownie points for that. Katrina gets the evil glares because she knows how to time inopportune moments. And she knows that my will is weak when it comes to some things. *sighs*

Lmao, wow Mac!boys must've really been getting on your nerves lately. This is the second post of this sort. And I remember the days when you were trying to convert me to Linux (for god knows what reason :P) and had a pretty good sell against both Windows and Leopard is it?

Either way, I ended up watching the commercial and browsing a few of your links. People get really heated about this subject. I don't *entirely* understand. Namely because my current opinion is that laptops are transportable pieces of crap that slowly die bit-by-bit (*ahem* don't tell Lenin, like I said, ONE MORE YEAR). And in my head that applies to ALL laptops.

To be honest, like I keep saying. All I want is to make sure that when I buy a computer I don't run into ridiculous issues with it like, a month after the warranty expires. For me buying a computer is a "of the times" decision. I have no particular loyalty.

I'm just curious though. Microsoft has never fought back because it never had to. Now that it is, does it mean... it does have to?

Also, regardless of whether a Mac or PC is better, kudos to the Mac advertising team. I know they're both going for different audiences and selling points, but Windows commercials have always felt a little "you're telling me the obvious" and read exactly like a commercial selling any product. Apple commercials were just entertaining. The music and the glib little comments? Does that make me one of the masses being charmed a bit by Apple's commercials? Probably. But then again I got RIDICULOUSLY excited over that Blockbuster commercial that used a ton of movie quotes in one seamless scene.

bahaha! Brilliant post... very witty. =) Classy song referencing as well. Bravo.

I am finally acquainted with Lauren! She really does look very run-of-the-mill - I would not have suspected her of being an actress. She honestly looks like the company snatched her off the street and got her to do this.

You know, that is exactly what I was thinking about macs - that people just buy them cuz they look shiny. And the packaging too - I mean, looking at one of them, I know I would always take the time to handle it with care and look after it very well. I'm guessing a lot of people don't have experience with macs crashing because they might be inclined to go the extra mile to look after one just because they're so effective at satiating a person's visual appetite. I mean, even the packaging is so pristine I wouldn't even consider throwing it out.

Lol. It's always so amusing when people get so intensely absorbed in a subject or opinion they can't resist resorting to vulgarity. I love the idea of nerds hosting their own informal colloquiums and having heated discussions. What a happifying thought =P

Oh, and I'm loving the snow leopard. =)
